How to Make Homemade Italian Style Pizza 🍕

I have been pizza obsessed lately & if you’ve seen my INSTAGRAM then you already know whats been going on in my house! Pizza for breakfast, pizza for lunch, and pizza for dinner, pizza pizza pizza, and some more pizza!  I don’t know whats going on with me guys I just LOVE pizza LOL!  If you LOVE pizza then keep reading for this full recipe!

If you dont want to make the dough then your shortcut would be to go to your local pizzeria or bakery and buy some pizza dough!  Then you can follow the recipe from there on!

All the ingredients you are going to need!

  • 4 Cups of all  Purpose Flour + Extra for sprinkling
  • 1 Teaspoon of Sugar
  • 2 Teaspoons  of Kosher Salt
  • 1 Packet of Instant Dry Rapid Yeast
  • 2 Table Spoons of Extra Virgin Olive Oil + 2 Teaspoons
  • 1 1/2 cups of Water at 110 Degrees
  • 1 Block of Whole Milk Mozzarella.  It can be fresh Mozzarella or store bought.  I used Polly-O Mozzarella for my pizza.
  • Your favorite sauce! It could be jar sauce, pizza sauce or homemade sauce.
  • Grated Parmesan Cheese

The first thing you want to do is put all your dry ingredients together in a bowl.  So your flour, yeast, salt & sugar.

You then want to add in your water + 2 tablespoons of olive oil, and mix it all together until it starts to form like the picture above.  If you find the dough too sticky sprinkle in a little bit more flour.  If you find the flour to dry you can add in additional water and I do this one teaspoon at a time.

You then want to prep your counter! So sprinkle it up with some flour!

Take your dough out of the bowl and put it onto that sprinkled counter!  After its down you can sprinkle some more flour onto your ball!

Now its time to knead! Knead for about 2 minutes or until your dough is a little bit more firmer & smoother.

Just like this! Then you want to take your additional 2 teaspoons of olive oil and put it in the bowl that your dough is going to rise in.

After I oiled the bowl and I put the dough right back into the bowl!  PS Cleaned the bowl before reusing again.

I put some plastic wrap on the bowl so its ready to rise!  You want to put your dough in a warm place because its going to rise the best there!  I usually leave it above my oven for the hour, and turn my oven on 200 degrees because the heat rises and makes your dough rise.

Silly me didnt take a picture of the dough after it rose for an hour.  But here is my dough all ready to go in my pizza pan!

You are going to take your mozzarella first, cut it up and place it all over the pizza.  Dont be sparse and fill in all the areas with cheese.

Next thing I did was take my out my homemade sauce.

I take the sauce and place it all over the pizza!

And I ended up like this! PS. At this point you can also add any toppings to your pizza that you desire besides just cheese and sauce!

You now want to grab your Parmesan cheese!

And sprinkle, sprinkle it all around your pizza!

You want to take your olive oil again and basically lightly pour it over your pizza from one end to the other.  And you want to do it all in a count of three.

At this point you are ready to enter the oven! You want to make sure your oven is set to 400 degrees, and you bake this gorgeous pizza for 20-25 minutes depending on how crunchy you like your pizza.

Viola! Now mangia!! Eat and enjoy your wonderful creation!
