Product Review: VIIcode O2M 8 Hour Oxygen Eye Masks.

There is one disclaimer I need to throw out there before I start this post.  The company/brand that reached out to me to originally do this post wanted me to wear makeup while wearing their product but I decided to opt against wearing makeup because I feel that is so unnatural in itself.  Your asking me to review your “natural” product so it should be done in its natural state.  Not me wearing mascara, and foundation to look pretty for a photo.  To me thats the fakest thing you can do when trying out skincare and it truly defeats the purpose +honesty.

I have always been a fan of under eye masks!  Since I barely sleep well anymore I always find myself with bags under my eyes when I wake up, in the afternoon, and basically all day long.  Before this opportunity fell into my lap I have always been obsessed with using Tartes 911 under eye rescue patches and when VIIcode reached out to me I knew I had to try their O2M Oxygen Eye Masks.  But these are so different from Tartes!  You can wear these for up to 8 hours while you sleep unlike just 15 minutes of the 911 under eye rescue patches.

So keep reading to see my true, honest review below.

VIIcode O2M Oxygen Eye Mask $54.99

  • These easy to use under eye pads are the first eye masks that are safe to use for 8 hours.  With the most natural potent antioxidants, skin with be refreshed and invigorated overnight.  It uses as easy as peel, stick, and go to sleep.  Benefits are skin is instantly refreshed, it minimizes visible signs of asking around eyes, reduces fine lines and wrinkles effectively, and instantly moisturizes the delicate under eye area.

You receive 6 packs of eye mask pairs in a cute little packet.  Before you use them its recommended you wash your wash, and stick them right under your eye.  You leave them on for 8 hours so you can do this while you sleep or if your just up and about doing chores.  Its recommended you use them about 2-3 times per week, and to use 3 full boxes.

This is what it looks like right out of the package.  You just peel the plastic off the other side, and boom you are ready to go.

From this picture above you can see the layer of gel that is on these eye masks.  It is actually a very sticky gel that does stick to your fingers.  But I believe its like that because it does need to stick on your face LOL

My experience/thoughts:

When I first received them I couldn’t wait to use them!  That night I winded up showering, washing my face, and slapping them on.  But this is where my experience came to a screeching halt.  After having them on for about 30 minutes I started getting super itchy right where these pads were laying.  The sensation and feeling was so bad I had to take them off.  There was no way these were going to last under my eyes for 8 hours with the reaction I was getting.  So I waited a half hour before putting them back to see if anything would change.  At this point they wouldn’t even stick anymore and were falling off my face.  I again tried and the same thing happened.  Super itchy right under my eye area where they were placed.  At this point I knew something wasn’t right, and this was not the product for me.  A few days later I tried again, and again the same reaction happened.  Unfortunately I was not able to try them to their full capacity to see if they really did work.  But from this there is definitely something in this product that is not natural because I shouldn’t have gotten such a reaction.  Maybe it’s the glue in the stickiness who knows, but I will not be making a future purchase on these for myself.

So this is my makeup free picture of me wearing these eye masks.

Love Always,

Mascara in the City

  1. Aaw such a shame they were no good. I love eye masks! ☺ Such a shame the company said to wear makeup with them. You wouldn’t use them over makeup so why would you do that. You’re gorgeous without makeup so glad you did it with bare skin xx

  2. Oh that’s a shame! I love these little sticky eye patches, but I have the most un-sensitive skin it is possible to have I swear! I’m kinda impressed you said no to wearing makeup with them on, I agree you shouldn’t have to. 🙂
