Origin’s Maskimizer + Masks Sample Review

I’ve been wanting to do this for so long but I have been dreading this + have been a little lazy about it.  These three Sephora bags below I have here are FILLED to an uncontrollable amount and they are filled with samples I have accumulated over the last 2 ½ years of blogging.  The first bag is all skincare samples, the second bag is all makeup samples, and the third bag is all perfume samples.  I decided I am going to post about every sample I use because this will motivate me to use more of them + get rid of this stash quicker LOL!!

For today’s Sample I bring you Origin’s.  A skincare brand I have NEVER used before and I have only heard amazing things about.  Today’s samples are Origins SKIN-OPTIMIZING MASK PRIMER + 2 of their masks.  The two masks I received in this little sample set were their active charcoal mask to clear pores & overnight mask to quench skin’s thirst.

This did some with the active charcoal mask attached.  It was attached like a mini mask book but I winded up using the charcoal mask before I decided to do this series + take these pictures.  That little bottle below looks like perfume but that is what the mask primer came in too be able to spray all over your face.

Origin’s Maskimizer Skin Optimizing Mask Primer

  • Take masking to the max! Priming mist with Marine Algae Complex helps hydrate, soften and optimize skin’s condition so it’s fully prepped to enhance your mask experience. Just a quick spritz gets skin primed. Ready to reach its most flawless potential.

I don’t know if this wasn’t effective because I didn’t have enough to try or it just wasn’t effective.  This primer is supposed to help hydrate and soften the skin, but most important it is supposed to optimize your skin for when you apply for your mask.  II didn’t see a difference when I applied it to my face before and after the mask was put on.  I really think its because this sample was so tiny!  Two spritzes and the bottle is basically empty.  But on the plus side it made my face feel refreshed when I sprayed it on and it smelt delightful LOL

Origin’s Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask to Quench Skin’s Thirst

  • Put dry skin to bed with this ultra-rich, hydrating overnight mask. Avocado and Apricot Kernel Oils deeply and instantly quench compromised moisture reserves and help build a reservoir for tomorrow. While Japanese Seaweed helps repair skin’s barrier to prevent future dehydration and signs of premature aging. Skin awakens comfortable, refreshed, supple.

I used this mask a few nights ago anticipating that this post was coming and it was about time that I tried it.  My first impressions of this product was wow it smells amazing! I’m so keen on smells especially when it comes to products that are going on my face.  I next thought wow this mask is very heavy.  You felt the heaviness of the mask when you applied it to your face but I guess that’s what locks in that moisture to quench your skins thirst.  When I woke up the next morning I rinsed off my face with some warm water and believe it or not my skin was NOT dry at all the next day.  This mask is a best seller so it really doesn’t surprise me!  Once my no spend freeze is up this mask is definitely on my list to purchase.

Origin’s Clear Improvement Active Charcoal mask to Clear Pores

  • Nature’s complexion clean-up crew clears the way for skin to act its best. Bamboo Charcoal acts like a magnet to draw out deep-dwelling pore-cloggers, White China Clay absorbs environmental toxins, Lecithin dissolves impurities. Skin looks clear, feels perfectly pure.

I cannot stress enough how much I LOVE charcoal!!! My regular everyday skin routine does include a charcoal face wash and when I seen this I know I needed to try it immediately.  I winded up trying this like a month ago and I fell in love!  You are only supposed to leave this on for like 10 minutes but I winded up leaving it on for 20 mins.  I felt such a difference in my face when I washed it off.  My skin was soft, it felt breathable, and brand new.  I wish I had more to spare in this little sample but this is another best seller from Origin’s and I will be purchasing this in the future people!

Overall Thoughts:

I’m all about my skin and skincare so this was a sweet little sample packet.  I’m so happy I got to try it and try a brand I have never used before.  I have to say I fell in love with some really good products here especially those two amazing masks!  Like I said I will be buying those masks soon especially the moisture mask because winter is coming and its great to be prepared!!

  1. I’m so glad you did this review; I have always wondered if Origin’s was worth the money or not! My favorite part of my skin care routine is moisturizing (constantly!) and applying my nighttime under eye cream!
